This is the most common mistake of some applicants, they create resumes that they can pass to all companies out there. An employer doesn't have the time to read so make sure that you create a functional resume where they can see what they can get from you.
NOT EYE CATCHY - A professional resume should have an outstanding opening, if not, it will never be read by the employer. A strong resume statement is the most important in writing a professional resume because it opens great opportunities ahead.
NOT RESULT ORIENTED - Listing down your job description won't just simply work alone. You should combine your accomplishments with your responsibilities in a way that they will benefit from you. You also need to use action words.

They assure their clients of a more organized and presentable cover letter that could easily get the attention of potential employers. This is better than risking everything with your poor written paper.
I'm not saying that its all rainbows and butterflies from thereon. Remember that you also have to make sure you represent your paper, the way your paper represents you. Another issue is the fee which could easily be solved.
You also have to remember that your own personal touch should always be included in your profile. You have to know your resume like the back of your palm. A lot of applicants are shot down during interviews because they are clueless about their own papers.
A resume is a tool you can never do without. Keep your wits about you and prepare it as much as you can.
Hope you get employed through this alternative way of having a decent cv!

Omissions in our Resumes
Yes. Resume is something about ourselves. We can tell something about us but there are things that we need not tell or write in our resumes. Only write what you think are important according to the position that you are applying for and the qualifications that will make you win an interview. If the saying that "less talk, less mistake" is true, then it is also applicable in resumes that "less information, less mistake" which means that there is a bigger chance that you will be hired because of creating a good resume.
Here are the things that we need to omit in our own resumes:
1. An objective.
2. Short-term jobs.
3. A functional format.
4. A photo.
5. A fancy design.
6. Subjective descriptions.
7. Any mention of high school.
8. Extra pages.
9. Your salary.
10. Any mention of references.
It is okay to omit some details in your resume especially when you are you think your resume will just face criticism if you forced to make it look like that way. Erasing some information will be worth it if you studied the unnecessary ones. Omitting will only make you pass the next level for it gives the employer a specific view about yourself.
